Mrs. Drew, who before her marriage was Ida May Lewis, was born at Broken Bow, Neb., on June 14, 1881 and was the first white child born in that town. Read More	Mrs. George Drew, who had been a resident of Superior since her marriage to Mr. Drew, 61 years ago, died at the Nuckolls County Hospital in Superior Friday, March 20, at the age of 88 years, 9 months and 6 days. Mrs. Drew, who before her marriage was Ida May Lewis, was born at Broken Bow, Neb., on June 14, 1881 and was the first white child born in that town. She was one of six children born to Mr. and Mrs. Daniel Lewis, pioneer settlers in Custer County. She was married in 1901 to Edson Palmer. A son born to this union died in infancy. Mr. Palmer died in 1906. In 1909 she was married to George M. Drew of Superior and one daughter was born to this union. During the early years of her Superior residence, Mrs. Drew was employed as a saleslady in the leading stores here. She was a charter member of the Superior Methodist Church and Kensington Society, and of the Supreme Forest Woodman Circle. She received a 50-year pin from that order. She was also a member of the Rebekah Lodge. Surviving are her husband; her daughter, Mrs. George Newsome (Lorainne) of Montebello, Calif.; two grandchildren, Larry Newsome of Yosemite National Park, Calif., and Mrs. Shari Tessier of Federal Way, Wash., and two great grandchildren, Cynthia and Linda Tessier. The funeral service was held at the Megrue Funeral Home Monday, March 23, with Rev. Lloyd V. Mohnkern officiating and interment was in Evergreen Cemetery. Superior Express, Thursday, unknown date
