Description	:	Funeral services were held for Mrs Emanuel Gimbel, of Scotland of Saturday, November 21, from the Goehring Funeral Chapel at 1 o'clock and St Paul's Lutheran Church at 1:30 pm with the Rev HF Wiendenmann officiating. Pallbearers were: D Jerke, M Simantel, R Riedler, W Neumelster, E Conrad and C Bierman. Miss Marilyn Rembold was the pianist and Walter Spomer, Soloist. Interment was made in Rosehill Cemetery. Mrs Emanuel Gimbel was born Ida Meyer on May 17, 1901, in Tripp, the daughter of Frederick Meyer and Caroline, nee Goehring. She was baptized and confirmed in the Salem Reformed Church at Tripp by the Rev WJ Krieger. With her parents she lived both at Tripp and Armour. In 1917 she was united in marriage with Emanuel Gimbel in Geddes. They lived first at Geddes, then at Armour, and in 1935 moved to Scotland, where they lived. The marriage was blessed with five children: Bernadine Ruth, who precedced her mother in death; Reinhold Gimbel, Freeman; Alvin Gimbel, Scotland; Rubuen Gimbel, Sioux City; and LeRoy Gimbel, at home. Mrs Gimbel has been a communicant member of St Paul's Lutheran Church in Scotland since 1935, and a member of the Ladies Aid society of her church. The deceased entered the hospital in Yankton on October 30 for an operation. She seemed to be well on the road to recovery, when complications arose. She died Wedneday, Nov 18, at 1:00 am at the age of 52 years, 6 months and 1 day. She is mourned by her husband, Emanuel Gimbel, four sons, and three grandchildresn; also five brothers and three sisters: John Meyer, Alvin Meyer, all of Armour, and Julius Meyer, of Hecla; Mrs Adeline Himes, Minno; Mrs Theresa Albrecht of White Lake, and Mrs Martha Williams, of Mitchell.
