IDA WEST PASSES AWAY Mrs. Ida West, who would have been 78 years old next November 13, passed away at her home early Wednesday morning at 1:30. She had just returned home Sunday noon after visiting six weeks at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Glen Thill, at Newcastle. She was taken ill Monday evening this week. Services will be held at the Beckenbauer funeral home Friday or Saturday this week, depending upon word received from Mrs. Luella Edwards, a daughter of Pontiac, Mich. Dr. Victor West of the Methodist church, will officiate at the services in Wayne, and Rev. John A. Farnham of the Methodist church in Cherokee, Ia., will have charge of services there. Committal will be at Oakhill cemetery at Cherokee. Ida Dolph, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Aaron Dolph, was born at Cherokee, Ia. She married J. B. West at Cherokee about 56 years ago. The Wests came to Wayne in September, 1918. Mr. West passed away about six years ago in April. Deceased leaves three sons and three daughters, Mrs. Glen Thill of Newcastle, Mrs. Luella Edwards of Pontiac, Mich., Mrs. Walter Walker of Cherokee, Charles of Grand Forks, N. D., George of Wayne and Lt. John G. in the USNR. One son, Daniel, died in infancy. Another son, Edward, died several years ago. Deceased also leaves two sisters, Mrs. Cora Lewis of Gridley, Calif., Mrs. J. R. Nissen of Fremont, and two brothers, A. W. Dolph of Wakefield, E. L. Dolph of Fremont. One sister, Mrs. Sarah Wanamaker, and two brothers, Andrew Dolph and Ben Dolph of Wayne, preceded her in death.
