Brabow in Peru, Illinois, on March 21, 1883. She was married in Jackson, Minnesota, to L. T. Jarmuth Held On Wednesday Was Leader in church And Community Activities Residents of Miller were shocked last Sunday morning to learn of the death of Mrs. Ida Jarmuth, wife of L. T. Jarmuth, a resident of the community for the past 17 years. Her death came as the culmination of a lingering illness over the past year. Mrs. Jarmuth was born Ida W. Brabow in Peru, Illinois, on March 21, 1883. She was married in Jackson, Minnesota, to L. T. Jarmuth on September 25, 1907, and immediately moved to St. Lawrence, South Dakota where Mr. Jarmuth was engaged in banking. In 1930 the family removed to Miller where she resided until her death. Previous to her marriage, Mrs. Jarmuth was a resident of Jackson, Minnesota, where she was an instructor in the local school system for five years. During her many years of residence at St. Lawrence and Miller, she was very active in community and church work and held many positions of leadership and responsibility in various organizations in the city. She was superintendent of the Sunday school of the St. Lawrence and Miller First Presbyterian Churches for a number of years and was a member of the Eastern Stars, P.E.O., Rebekahs and Miller Women’s club at the time of her death. Funeral services were held in the Presbyterian church at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday with the Reverend Joseph Andrews conducting the (_____ites). Burial was in the G.A.R. cemetery. The pall bearers were close friends of the family and include Louis Stechmann, J.C. Jones, Mac Jones, Frank Clegg, C.W. Gardner and J.M. Magnus. Surviving are her husband, L.T. Jarmuth, one son, Alton of Miller, two sisters, Mrs. Otto Belz and Miss Lydia Brabow, both of Peru, Illinois, and two granddaughters, Beverly and Deanna.
