She was born April 30, 1933, in Ottumwa to Leonard and Ethel Sallee Baxter. She was a member of Veterans of Foreign War Ladies Auxiliary and a lifetime member of Eagles Ladies Auxiliary. She is survived by two sons, Robert Jr. of Milton and Michael of Ottumwa; her mother, Margaret Ether Baxter of Seattle, Wash.; four daughters, Laura Laumeyer and Susan Guiter of Ottumwa, Myra Martin of Bloomfield and Marilyn Naill of Milton; three brothers, Robert and Wayne Baxter of Seattle, Wash., and Jack Baxter of Texas; two sisters, Effie Balda and Collee Phillips of Seattle, Wash.; and 14 grandchildren. The service will be 10 a.m. Tuesday at Robertson-Jay Funeral Home, the Rev. A.D. Pringle of Ottumwa Baptist Temple and the VFW Ladies Auxiliary officiating. Burial will be in Shaul Cemetery. Family visitation will be from 7 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home. Pallbearers will be Kenny Campbell, Joe Lord, Melvin Stonebraker, Robert Hem, Paul Lane, and Ward Ransford. Memorials have been established to the VFW Ladies Auxiliary.
