Description	:	Idella Marie Carpenter, 86, of Gibbon died Saturday, Feb. 13, 2010, at Gibbon Good Samaritan Center. She was born Sept. 18, 1923, in Hildreth to George and Alma (Ruhs) Jurgens. On Sept 19, 1941, she married Darrell Carpenter Sr. He preceded her in death. Survivors include her daughters, Janice Johannsen and her husband, Waldo, of Ogallala and Sallee Shiers and her husband, Larry, of Gibbon; daughter-in-law, Judie Carpenter of North Platte; brother, Elmer Jurgens of Gibbon; sister, Henrietta Hartge of Omaha; eight grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild. She was a member of Gibbon Faith United Church and enjoyed gardening and playing with her grandchildren. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her son, Darrell Jr., four brothers and two sisters.
