She had been a co-owner of The Fashion Stall clothing store in Burlington and she was a florist at The Image Connection in Burlington. She was born April 24, 1928, in Lamoni, Iowa, the daughter of Thomas E. "Ted" Mitchell and Esther Lucille Nirk Mitchell. She attended school in Lamoni and moved to Burlington 38 years ago. Mrs. Knight was a florist and had owned and operated a flower shop in Burlington for many years. She was born April 24, 1928, in Lamoni, Iowa, the daughter of Thomas E. "Ted" Mitchell and Esther Lucille Nirk Mitchell. She attended school in Lamoni and moved to Burlington 38 years ago. Mrs. Knight was a member of the Reorganized Church of Latter-day Saints. She married Dale Knight on Jan. 31, 1948, in Lamoni. They were divorced. Survivors include two sons, Mike Knight and Tommy Knight, both of Burlington; a daughter, Shelli Hugunin, Burlington; a brother, Larry Mitchell, Des Moines, Iowa; a companion, Mary Hicks, Burlington; 12 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren. Services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Jones Funeral Home in Burlington. Burial will be in Graceland Cemetery in Burlington. Visitation will be from 7 to 8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
