The funeral service will be Monday, April 11, 10:30 A.M. at Immanuel Lutheran Church with Rev. Patrick Sparling and Rev. Peter Jurchen officiating. Interment will be in the Roselawn Memorial Cemetery. Ilene Mae Theilen was born December 21, 1925, in rural Creston, Nebraska, to Reinhold and Martha (Loseke) Engelbart. She was baptized and confirmed at St. Peter's Lutheran Church in Creston. Ilene attended school in Leigh, Nebraska. On April 24, 1946, Ilene was united in marriage to Paul Theilen in Creston. They lived and farmed near Creston where Ilene was a homemaker and helped on the farm with chores, including butchering of the chickens on a daily basis. She also enjoyed gardening and doing canning. In 1968, they moved just west of Columbus and later moved into Columbus. Ilene was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church.
