M. and Rebecca Estlack, was born in Guilford Township, Monroe County, Iowa, July 5th, 1872 and passed away at her home in Moravia, April 16th, 1935, aged 62 years, 9 months and 10 days. She was married to Emmett Scott, Sept 13th, 1892, and to this union four children were born, one dying in infancy, George dying at the age of two years and two living, Mr. James Lee Scott of Moravia and Mrs. Clare Broshar of Waterloo. M. and Rebecca Estlack, was born in Guilford Township, Monroe County, Iowa, July 5th, 1872 and passed away at her home in Moravia, April 16th, 1935, aged 62 years, 9 months and 10 days. She was married to Emmett Scott, Sept 13th, 1892, and to this union four children were born, one dying in infancy, George dying at the age of two years and two living, Mr. James Lee Scott of Moravia and Mrs. Clare Broshar of Waterloo. These, with the husband; two grandchildren, Patricia Ann and Robert Clare Broshar; five sisters, Mrs. W. S. Morris, Mrs. Charles Bettis, Mrs. A. Bettis, Mrs. Robert Gutcher, Mrs. William Peterson; and two brothers, Samuel Estlack and George Estlack, remain to mourn their loss. Although she had been in ill health for some time, her condition was not known to be so critical and her death came as a distinct shock to her many relatives and friends. They moved to Moravia in 1906 and she assisted her husband in the mercantile business and thus had a wide acquaintance. She was a member of the Methodist Church in Moravia and of the Rebekah Lodge. Funeral services were held from the Moravia Methodist Church on Thursday afternoon, April 18, at 2:00 o'clock, conducted by Rev. J. W. Zerbe and assisted by Rev. J. C. Behrens. Interment was in the Moravia Cemetery with the Rebekah Lodge holding its ritualistic service at the grave.
