DaMoude, daughter of Jonathan and Olivia Churchill Welsh, was born near Wellfleet, Nebr., on Oct. 14, 1888, and passed away June 19, 1961, at Hastings, Nebr., at the age of 72 years, 8 months and 5 days. She lived with her parents on a farm near Wellfleet until her marriage to George DaMoude on Febr. 15, 1911, when they moved to a farm northwest of Aurora where they resided until 1924, when they moved into Aurora where she has since resided, except for the past 10 months, because of her failing health she has lived with her son Arlie and family at Nelson. Mrs. DaMoude was a member of the Evangelical United Brethren Church and the WSWS of that church. Also she was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary. She was a loving and devoted mother and a kind friend to all who knew her and she will be cherished in the memory of many. She was preceded in death by her husband on Sept. 21, 1933, and one son Ervin in his infancy, her parents, six sisters and three brothers. She is survived by one daughter, Devona DaMoude of Denver, Colo.; six sons, Claude of Lincoln, Earl of Hordville, Arlie of Nelson, Eldon of Austin, Colo., Dean of West Point, and Gerald of Lincoln; one brother, Dell Welsh of Dickens; two sisters, Mrs. Elizabeth Lamplaugh of North Platte and Mrs. Minnie Van Cleave of Laramie, Wyo.; 12 grandchildren and four great grandchildren, and several nephews and nieces and other close relatives.
