Description	:	The death of Miss Inez Klinefelter occurred at Yankton, S.D., where she was receiving treatment, last Saturday. The remains were first taken to Alexandria, S.D., where funeral services were held at the Presbyterian church and then were brought here for interment. The funeral party arrived in Hawarden Tuesday afternoon and were met by a large number of old neighbors and friends. Inez Matilda Klinefelter was born near Hawarden May 6, 1891, and her young girlhood days were spent in this vicinity. She moved with her parents to Hawarden in 1901 where she attended school, graduating from the high school in 1908. The same years she moved with the family to Alexandria SD. She taught school at Alexandria for about three years after which she had charge of the public library at that place for two years. In the fall of 1918 she went to Madison, S.D., to work for the superintendent of the city schools for a few months. She then entered the employ of Dr. Westaby at Madison as his secretary where she remained until August, 1920, when her failing health made it necessary for her to resign from this position. She submitted to an operation last August but failed to improve in health. She united with the Presbyterian church at Alexandria in October, 1909, and served as secretary of the Sunday school and a member of the church choir for a number of years. She was always a willing worker in the Sunday school and church. Hawarden friends recall her kindly disposition and pleasant companionship and extend sincere sympathy to the bereaved relatives and friends. She is survived by her mother, Mrs. G.W. Klinefelter, one brother, Ray, and two sisters Maude and Grace. In addition to her mother and sisters, other relatives and friends who were here for the funeral were Mr. and Mrs. Klinefelter and Mr. and Mrs.. Harvey of Waterloo, Iowa, Mrs. Fowler of Alexandria, S.D., Mrs. A. V. Elliott and daughter Eva of Beresford, Mrs. E. French and daughter Ruth, Mr. and Mrs. Walter Struble and Mrs. Alice Lawton of Ireton. The Independent (Hawarden, Iowa) 3/17/1921
