Description	:	Obituary Mrs. John Hamstra of Ireton passed away Sunday at the hospital in Hull following a brief illness. She gave birth to a son on Tuesday of last week but the babe lived by six hours. On last Thursday when her condition became critical she was removed to the hospital at Hull where she passed away Sunday. Read More	Obituary Mrs. John Hamstra of Ireton passed away Sunday at the hospital in Hull following a brief illness. She gave birth to a son on Tuesday of last week but the babe lived by six hours. On last Thursday when her condition became critical she was removed to the hospital at Hull where she passed away Sunday. The form of the little babe was quietly laid to rest in the family plot in Hawarden. Funeral services for Mrs. Hamstra were held at 1 o’clock Tuesday afternoon from the home and from the Christian Reformed Church in Ireton at 2 o’clock with her pastor, Rev. J. Van Dyke , in charge. He was assisted by Rev. J. Dykstra of Sioux Center. A large concourse of friends and neighbors came to pay their last respects to the memory of the departed. Burial was made in Grace Hill Cemetery in Hawarden. Tryntje Hoekman was born February 8, 1891, at Kampen, Netherlands, and passed away July 24, 1932, at the age of 41 years, 5 months, and 16 days. She was united in marriage with John Hamstra at Kampen, Netherlands, November 8, 1912. She came to America with her family November 4, 1920, and they resided near Rock Valley for five years, moving from there to Alcester where they lived for seven years. At the time of her death she resided at the E.A. Lindenman farm northeast of Ireton. Tragedy seemed to take of this family almost from the beginning of their residence in this country. Shortly after their arrival they lost a small child and a year ago last January, three of their children were burned to death in their car while they were on there way to visit with relatives at Lake Park. She never fully recovered from the blow of losing her children in this tragic manner and grieved a great deal for her little daughters and son. She is survived by her husband, John and two sons, William, aged 18, and Clarence, aged 14. Her aged father in the Netherlands also survive her.
