Simmer of the 1st Methodist Church in O'Neille, participated in the services, Mrs. Roy Wiggins sang "In the Garden" and "Old Rugged Cross" accompanied by Miss Vena Green, the church organist. Mrs. Jerry Turner was born April 19, 1888, in Wayne County, Nebraska. She was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. B.F. Carr. Miss Carr was confirmed in the Salem Lutheran Church, but joined the Methodist Church of Wakefield following her marriage to Mr. Turner, on February 27, 1907. Mrs. Turner was active in the Methodist Church until her death. On February 27th of last year, Mr. and Mrs. Turner celebrated their Golden Wedding Anniversary. Mrs. Turner has also been a member of the Eastern Star and V.F.W. Mrs. Turner passed away on December 31, 1957 in Wakefield having lived 69 years, 8 months, 12 days. She was preceded in death by her parents, 2 sisters, and a daughter Zelpha, who passed away in 1911. Mrs. Turner is survived by her husband, a sister, Lula Backstrom of Wayne, a brother, Grover Carr of Wakefield, her 4 sons, Robert of Wayne, Preston and Kermit, both of Wakefield, and Kenneth of Omaha, and her daughter, Frances; and 8 grandchildren. Pallbearers for the service were Kenneth Packer, Robert Blatchford, Theron Culton, Gordon Nuernberger, Loe Schultz, and Early Peterson of Dixon. Honorary Pallbearers were Paul Dahlgren, Levi Dahlgren, Nep Swagerty, John C. Bressler of Pender, William Hugleman, and A.H. Meyer.
