Domier was born the daughter of Alvin and Mildred (Brend) Domier on July 31, 1935 near Portland, ND. She moved with her family as a young child to Mayville where she grew up and attended school, graduating from Mayville High School. She was united in marriage to Harold Thuen on January 30, 1953 in Crookston, MN. They lived in Washington while Harold was in the service. Domier was born the daughter of Alvin and Mildred (Brend) Domier on July 31, 1935 near Portland, ND. She moved with her family as a young child to Mayville where she grew up and attended school, graduating from Mayville High School. She was united in marriage to Harold Thuen on January 30, 1953 in Crookston, MN. They lived in Washington while Harold was in the service. They later lived in Wahpeton, ND and Bismarck, ND until 1960 when they moved to the Mayville-Portland area. Ione worked at Union Hospital, Mayville, the May-Port High School as a cook and owned Ione's Ceramic in Portland. She was the site manager for the Meals on Wheels in Portland. She enjoyed sewing, summers at the lake, attending her grandchildren's activities and loved her grandchildren. She is survived by her husband, Harold Thuen, Portland, ND; two sons, Robert (Dawn) Thuen, Bismarck, ND, Wayne (Shelly) Thuen, Minot, ND; two daughters, Rebecca (Bruce) Kemmer, Horace, ND; Lisa (Bob) Carlson, Northfield, MN; ten grandchildren and three great-grandchildren; two brothers, David (Colleen) Domier; Dennis (Paulette) Domier, both of Harwood, ND; two sisters, Elaine (Daniel) Viken, Geneva (Michael) Knudson, both Mayville, ND; one sister-in-law, Carol Domier, Portland, ND; many nieces and nephews.
