Ira Edward Fidler, 3 year old son of Mr. and Mrs. Ran Fidler of East of Villisca, died Wednesday morning of last week in the St. Joseph Hospital in Omaha, where he had been taken for treatment a week before his death with was caused by lymphatic leukemia, a swelling of glands. He had been in ill health most of the winter. The body was brought by Eno & Sutphen to their funeral chapel here where it remained until Friday morning when it was taken to the Fidler home. Funeral services were held Friday at 2 p.m. in the Methodist Church in Nodaway, conducted by Rev. D. A. Zook. The music was by Helen Bowers and Betty Everett, with Mrs. Roy Richards accompanying them on the piano and the pall bearers were John Thuman, Harold Walters, Randolph Kernen, and Roquell Williams. Burial was in the Villisca Cemetery. Ira was born July 8, 1933 at Nodaway and is survived by his parents, one brother, Dale, four sisters, Mildred, Velma, Kathryn, and Shirley Mae, all at home, his grandparents, Mrs. Nellie Scott of Villisca, Zane Scott of Omaha, and one great grandmother, Mrs. S.
