Description	:	Ira F. Woodside, a resident of the Noonan area for more than 60 years, died Thursday, Sept. 5th, in St. Luke's hospital in Crosby, following a period of declining health. He was 82 years old. Funeral services were held Monday, Sept. 9th, at 2 p.m., in Zion Lutheran church in Border township. Rev. Martin Simmons was the officiating clergyman, Mrs. Simmons was organist, Pastor Simmons sang a solo and there was also a hymn by the congregation. Serving as pallbearers were Lyle Steffins, Gearl Fenster, James Steffins, Wesley Schilke, Edward Schilke and Larry Schilke. Mr. Woodside was born Nov. 17th, 1885, in Minneapolis, Minn., where he grew to manhood and received his education. His marriage to Miss Ida Wells, took place in Freeborn County, Minn., on October 25, 2905. They moved to Divide County in 1906, and the following years took up a homestead up in Upland township. Later they moved to nearby Border township, where they farmed for many years. In 1949, because of Mrs. Woodside's health, they moved to Noonan where he has since made his home, the past 18 months being at the Good Samaritan home there. Mrs. Woodside passed away May 20th, 1954, an infant son, his parents and a brother, also preceded him in death. Surviving are five children, Mrs. Roy (Susie) Fenster and Mrs. Vern (Gerda) Drew, both of Noonan, Mrs. Theodore (Elsie) Schilke, Wildrose, and Everett and Paul, both of Port Angeles, Wash., a brother, Joe of Albert Lea, Minn., a sister, Mrs. Pearl Hammond, Redding, Calif.; 21 grandchildren, and 32 great grandchildren.
