Description	:	Irene "Betty" Swank, 80, of Billings, passed away Sunday, July 14, 2013. Betty was born in Joliet, Mont., the daughter of Jacob and Elizabeth (Reiter) Popp. She was raised mainly in the Billings area and attended Billings schools. Betty married Floyd Swank and to this marriage, two children were born, Bobby and Kim. She worked at Billings Laundry, E.R. Young/Windor Industries before going to work for St. Vincent Hospital. She loved her family;... Read More	Irene "Betty" Swank, 80, of Billings, passed away Sunday, July 14, 2013. Betty was born in Joliet, Mont., the daughter of Jacob and Elizabeth (Reiter) Popp. She was raised mainly in the Billings area and attended Billings schools. Betty married Floyd Swank and to this marriage, two children were born, Bobby and Kim. She worked at Billings Laundry, E.R. Young/Windor Industries before going to work for St. Vincent Hospital. Retiring in 2005, she continued to enjoy her Friday luncheons with "the girls" (friends she retired with). Mom had many hobbies: sewing, knitting, crocheting and cross stitching. She loved her family; the grandchildren and great-grandchildren were sure to make her smile with their visits and phone calls. We love you "Nay"/Grandma Betty. Betty is preceded in death by Floyd; her parents, Jacob and Elizabeth; siblings, Lydia, Ruth, Joann, Fred, Dan and Herman. She is survived by brother Jake (Carol) Popp; sister Jean (Roland) Short; her children and their families, daughter Kim (Richard) LaFranboise, granddaughter Tanna (Mike) Hudson, granddaughter Amber (Justin) Caster, son Bobby (Linda) Swank, grandson Colby Swank, granddaughter Shandye Swank, granddaughter Jenica Swank, grandson Rudy Swank, granddaughter Kurstin Vigliotti, granddaughter Heather (Dave) DuCharme; along with 20 great-grandkids and many nieces and nephews and the Swank families. A special thank you to Tyke (Swank) McGarry for all her help in assisting with mom. Thanks Rocky Mountain Hospice for your gentle, caring touch over the past year, Pastor Eric at Harvest Church (Lockwood campus) for your visits and many prayers. Visitation will be Thursday, July 18, at Cremation and Funeral Gallery, 29 Eighth St. W., Billings. Funeral services are planned for Friday, July 19, at 10:30 a.m., with burial to follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens. Potluck luncheon will be at Harvest Church (Lockwood campus) immediately following burial.
