Irene was born January 12, 1922 at Brooklyn to William and Louise (Prusha) Bina and graduated from the Belle Plaine High School in 1940. She then attended Iowa State Teachers College and taught several years in the Benton County area. On May 10, 1944, she was united in marriage to Harold Barron at St. Michael's Catholic Church in Belle Plaine. He preceded her in death on December 10, 2006. Irene was a member of St. Michael's Catholic Church in Belle Plaine. She loved gardening and caring for her flowers. Irene was an excellent cook and baker. In years past, she enjoyed bowling. She is survived by her daughters, Linda Kucia of Denver, Colorado, and Carole (Ron) Zarlengo of Wheat Ridge, Colorado. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her grandson, Eric Perry; and three brothers, Lester, Leo and Melvin Bina. Daughter of William and Louise (Prusha) Bina. Married Harold Barron on May 10, 1944 in Belle Plaine, IA. Mother of Linda Kucia of Denver, CO and Carole Zarlengo of Wheat Ridge, CO. Sister of Lester, Leo and Melvin Bina (all deceased). the Gazette
