Description	:	The Belle Plaine Union, Thursday, June 20th, 1940 page 3 William Bina, 45, a carpenter and painter, and a resident of Belle Plaine, was found dead in his car about 2 1/2 miles west of Chelsea Monday afternoon. Death was due to carbon monoxide poisoning according to the Tama county coroner. A note was found in the car in which he blamed poor health for the act. William Bina was the son of Mr. and Mrs. John Bina , farmers living about 3 miles south of Chelsea. He was born in Czechoslovakia, September 7, 1896, and came to America when a small child. About 18 years ago he was married to Miss Louise Prusha and to this union were born four children, girl and three boys, namely: Irene who graduated from Belle Plaine high school this spring and Leo and Melvin, 15 and 16, at home. One son, Lester is deceased. He is also survived by his parents, the widow, one brother, Joe of New York; and the following sisters: Mrs. Frank West of Long Beach, California; Mrs. Homer McNerney of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania; Mrs. Charles Berger of Cedar Rapids. One sister, Mrs. Webster Brogan, of Seattle, Washington, preceded him in death. Funeral services were held from the Hrabak Funeral Home in Chelsea Tuesday morning in charge of Rev. Irvine J. Walker of the First Congregational Church of Belle Plaine and burial was made in the National Cemetery near Vining, Contributor: George (48419540)
