Description	:	My Grandmother, Irene Elsie Herbold, 95, passed away Friday, Oct 14 at Park Centre in Newton. The daughter of Ray and Anna M. (Schueler) McNeal, she was born on February 15, 1916 in Vinton, Iowa. She was united in marriage to Roy Charles Herbold on Dec 6, 1933 in Vinton, Iowa. After living in Benton County for a while, they moved to Jasper County where she and Roy engaged in farming for many years in the Kellogg area. Read More	My Grandmother, Irene Elsie Herbold, 95, passed away Friday, Oct 14 at Park Centre in Newton. The daughter of Ray and Anna M. (Schueler) McNeal, she was born on February 15, 1916 in Vinton, Iowa. She was united in marriage to Roy Charles Herbold on Dec 6, 1933 in Vinton, Iowa. After living in Benton County for a while, they moved to Jasper County where she and Roy engaged in farming for many years in the Kellogg area. Irene also worked for the Maytag Co in the early 1950's. After they retired from farming in the 1960's, they moved to the town of Newton. Irene was a waitress at Mason's Cafe, and also worked for Party Time Pizza. She was a devoted wife, Mother and Grandmother who enjoyed baking, taking care of her loved ones and her home. Those left to honor her memory are her children; Laura Ann Smith of Colfax, Ia and Roy (Bud) Herbold Jr. and his wife, Bonnie of Marshalltown, Ia. She is also survived by 10 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren, and 10 great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, an infant daughter; Betty Ruth, two sisters; Frances Scott and Jessie Krehmeyer, and two brothers; John and Raymond McNeal. -Cindy
