She was the daughter of Harry and Matilda Stuhr Jens. She was one of two children. She attended schools in Pottawattamie and Shelby County. She married Ernest H. Woltmann Aug. 20, 1922 in Harlan. They farmed in Shelby county until 1929 when they moved to their home in Pleasant twp., Pottawattamie county, where they resided until entering the Atlantic Care Center, March 27, 1990.... She was the daughter of Harry and Matilda Stuhr Jens. She was one of two children. She attended schools in Pottawattamie and Shelby County. She married Ernest H. Woltmann Aug. 20, 1922 in Harlan. They farmed in Shelby county until 1929 when they moved to their home in Pleasant twp., Pottawattamie county, where they resided until entering the Atlantic Care Center, March 27, 1990. Ernest died July 30.1990. She was a member of the Trinity Lutheran Church, tlte Shelby Garden Club and the Social Farmerette Club. She died at the Atlantic Care Center, May 2, 1991, at age 89 years, 11 months and 5 days. She was preceded in death by her husband; her parents; one brother, Herbert; and one great-granddaughter. Survivors include her son, Raleigh Woltmann (Marilyn), 1 daughter, Corinne (Albert) Schus, all living near Avoca; five grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren; four sisters-in4aw, Edna Vandenbroucke of Avoca; Clara Ronnfeldt of Hancock; Edna Woltmann of Avoca; Meta Woltmann of Walnut; two brothers-in-law, Harry Woltmann of ^Luiz, FL, and Harry Hansen of Co. Bluffs; an Aunt, Lora Baird of Davenport; ; nieces, nephews and other relatives. Funeral services were held May 5, 1991 at the Knutson Funeral Chapel with Pastor Dean Sudmari, officiating. Burial was in the Shelby cemetery. Casketbearers were Justin Wortmann, John Fasert, Herbert Jens, Richard Schue, Robert Schue, and Harold Jens. Knutson Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
