Description	:	Irene Saylor, 98, of Fleming, died Saturday, Oct. 14, 2000 in Sterling. Visitation will be from 1-5 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 17, and until noon on Wednesday, Oct. 18, at Chaney-Reager Funeral Home. Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 18 at the Fleming Cemetery with Rev. Tom Peacock officiating. Mrs. Saylor was born on Dec. 27, 1901 to William and Grace (McBride) Miles in Berthoud. She grew up in Pine River, Minn. She moved with her family to Fleming and worked as a telephone operator. Mrs. Saylor was born on Dec. 27, 1901 to William and Grace (McBride) Miles in Berthoud. She grew up in Pine River, Minn. She moved with her family to Fleming and worked as a telephone operator. On Nov. 30, 1919 she married Chancy Brown and they lived on the old Saylor Ranch northwest of Fleming. They lived on the Bill Wood home stead west of Fleming from 1933 until 1957. Mr. Brown died in 1959. She married Russell Rowan on June 9, 1963 in Fleming. They lived in Sterling and later moved to Fleming. Mr. Rowán died in 1982. On Sept. 16, 1987 she married Clyde Saylor in Fleming. She was of the Methodist faith. Mrs. Saylor is survived by her husband, Clyde Saylor of Sterling; two daughters, Delores of Seymour, Mo., and Marlene of St. George, Utah; six sons, Marvin Brown of Holbrook, Neb., Rahlon Brown of The Dalles, Ore., Kenneth Brown of Twin Falls, Idaho, Keith Brown of Denver, Alvin Brown of Mitchell, S.D., and Richard Brown of Louisiana; 20 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren and great- great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by two sons, Wilbert Brown and Melvin Brown; four brothers, three sisters, and one grandchild.
