She spent her early years in Hanover and Denison, Iowa. While in Denison, she worked for her parents at the "Twins Café." On Nov. 9, 1941, she married Frank Christie. Mrs. Christie was born Jan 15, 1922 in Ida Grove, Iowa to George and Minnie (Redman) Huebuer. She spent her early years in Hanover and Denison, Iowa. While in Denison, she worked for her parents at the "Twins Café." On Nov. 9, 1941, she married Frank Christie. They moved to Yakima in 1946, joining her family who moved there in 1945. She was co-owner and helped manage Chris Septic Service. Irene was a caring and outgoing person and enjoyed helping other people. She enjoyed cooking, reading and dancing. She had worked in various cafes in Yakima and was a member of Bethlehem Lutheran Church. Survivors include her loving husband of 61 years, Frank Christie; two sisters, Delores Miller of Yakima and Verdona Bemmer of Placentia, CA; and numerous nieces and nephews. We single out, and thank, niece Diane Traner for her many hours of devotion to Irene while living and towards the end. She is preceded in death by two sisters, Ione Hall (her twin), and Georgia Lamb, and her parents. No services. No Flowers. Arrangements are entrusted to the terrace Heights chapel of Valley Hills Funeral Home.
