Description	:	Death Comes To Mrs. Fred Lang Mrs. Irene Gray Lang, wife of Fred W. Lang, 319 West Fourth street, died at the St. Joseph hospital at 1 a.m. Sunday. Death came suddenly, although she had suffered from a lingering illness for two years. Mrs. Lang was a member of the First Congregation church, and had been an active worker in church activities until her illness. Mrs. Lang was a member of the First Congregation church, and had been an active worker in church activities until her illness. Even during the past two years, despite her illness, she wrote large numbers of letters to service men who were members of the church. She was a member of Ottumwa chapter No. 112, O. E. S., of the Wapello White Shrine No. 4, and the Mothers' Study club. Mrs. Lang was born in Ottumwa February 14, 1890, the daughter of James D. and Nellie Gray, and had lived here all her life. Surviving are her husband, a son, George G. Lang, Ottumwa, and two grandsons, David and Thomas Lang. She was preceded in death by her parents and a son, Frederick Gray Lang, who died in infancy. Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 10:30 a.m. at the Lester Jay funeral home, in charge of the Rev. J. H. Telfer, pastor of the First Congregational church. Burial will be in the Ottumwa cemetery. Pallbearers will be G. G. Capell, Max Riley, Lawrence Starns, Walter LaPoint, Clarence Young and Harry Baker.
