Funeral services will be held Friday, March 27, at 2 p.m. from the Boothby Funeral Home at Cherokee. Rev. Gary Armstrong will officiate and burial will be in the Oak Hill Cemetery at Cherokee. There will be a family prayer service at 1:45 p.m. in the funeral home on Friday. She was born on June 24, 1903, in Rock Township, Cherokee County, to John and Charlotte Williams Lepper. She was married to Henry E. Peck on June 24, 1922, at Cherokee. She had worked in the Sioux Valley Memorial Hospital. She had owned and operated the Goodie Shoppe in Cherokee and had been a Stanley dealer for many years. She had resided in the Cherokee Villa since June 1989, and had been a resident of Cherokee County practically all her life. She was a member of the Mt. Pleasant Presbyterian Church. She was a 50-year member of the Veteran of Foreign Wars Wescott Post #2253 Auxiliary of which she had been a Past District President. She also was a member of the Women's Relief Corps and the Degree of Honor. She is survived by: three daughters, Shirley, and her husband, Harold Nation; Marilyn George; and LaVon and her husband, Bob Roberts, all of Cherokee; one daughter-inlaw, Irene I. Peck, of Omaha, Neb.; one son-in-law, Max Hinrichs, of Spencer; 18 grandchildren; 34 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; one sister, Martha Simons, of Marcus; and one sister-in-law, Inez Lepper, of Cherokee; and many nieces, nephews and friends. She was preceded in death by: her parents; her husband on July 31,1973; one daughter, Charlotte Hinrichs in 1966; one son, Carroll Peck in 1996; one great-great-grandchild; one son-in-law, Paul George; two brothers, Delbert Lepper; and Raymond Lepper and his wife, Beulah; and one brotherin-law, Donald Simons.
