Mrs. Voss, the former Irene Holzberger, died Tuesday morning in St. Joseph's Hospital at Alliance (Nebraska), following at extended illness. She was born August 29, 1913, in Gordon and married Julius Voss on September 28, 1938, in Chadron (Nebraska). He survives. Mrs. Voss taught school in the Hay Springs and Gordon areas for many years and also had been active in Our Savior's Church and served as Sunday School Superintendent for several years. The family lived in the Hay Springs area prior to purchasing their present farm north of Gordon in 1940. In addition to her husband she is survived by a son, Roger; a daughter, Rita; and granddaughter, Julianne; her parents, Mrs. and Mrs. George Holzberger of Gordon, and a brother and sister, also of Gordon. The Rev. Robert Harrison, will officiate at the service and burial will be in the Gordon Cemetery. The Chamberlain Mortuary of Rushville is in charge of arrangements.
