Mrs. Cunningham died at her hoe here early Saturday morning following a stroke, which she suffered shortly before 5 o’clock Friday afternoon. Funeral services are being held this afternoon (Thursday) at the Methodist church, conducted by Rev. C. W. Smith. Burial was made in the Oakdale Cemetery. Ireta J. OBERSHAW was born near Oakdale, Nebraska, on March 26, 1897. She grew to womanhood in the Oakdale community. She passed away at her home in Oakdale on January 6, 1945, at the age of 47 years, 9 months and 11 days. On December 24, 1920, she was married to Devern CUNNINGHAM, also of Oakdale. To this union as born one daughter, Lois CUNNINGHAM. Mourning her death are her husband and daughter, Lois, a senior in the Oakdale high school; three brothers, Henry OBERSHAW of Renton, WA, Oscar and Chester OBERSHAW of Oakdale, 2 sisters, Miss Etta OBERSHAW, Oakdale, Mrs. Harry J. SCOTT of Washington, PA; several nieces and nephews and a host of friends. Her father, mother and one brother preceded her in death.
