She was born on February 18, 1926 in Clinton, IA the daughter of Roy and Celestia Owen Beil. On October 16, 1949, Iris was united in marriage to Frank Arthur Kunde in Clinton, IA. Read More	Iris A. Kunde, 89, of Keokuk, died Saturday, March 21, 2015 at River Hills Village in Keokuk. She was born on February 18, 1926 in Clinton, IA the daughter of Roy and Celestia Owen Beil. On October 16, 1949, Iris was united in marriage to Frank Arthur Kunde in Clinton, IA. He preceded her in death on November 19, 2014. Iris graduated from the Clinton High School in Clinton, IA with the Class of 1944. She was employed as a switchboard operator by Northwestern Bell Telephone Company in Clinton, IA. She also worked in the office at the Tupperware distribution center in Harlington, TX. Iris was a member of the Rainbow Girls and the Confederate Air Force now known as Commemorative Air Force. Iris loved to knit, cross-stitch, and sew and put a great deal of love into the beautiful projects she made. She enjoyed reading, watching movies, playing cards, bingo and electronic handheld games. Iris also enjoyed collecting bells. She was a fantastic cook and loved to cook for her family. Iris received great joy from spending time with her family, especially at their cabin on the river. Survivors include three sons, Robert Kunde and his wife Terry of Ft. Madison, IA, Kim Kunde and his wife Ann of Valley Center, CA and Craig Kunde and his wife Teresa of Oregon City, OR, two daughters, Gina Nye and her husband Chad and Lori Kunde and her partner Ernesto Trevino all of Keokuk, seven grandchildren, Jeremy Kunde and wife Jessica, Craig Kunde, Trevor Trevino, Chance Nye and wife Amy, Kristina Powell, Meagan Kunde and Cheyenne Kunde, nine great-grandchildren, two great-great-grandchildren, one brother, Ross Beil and his wife Florence, two sisters, Vina Penzkofer and her husband Claire and LaBeth Petersen and her husband Lloyd, neice, Carol Plotnik and her husband David and numerous other nieces and nephews. Private graveside services will be held at the Keokuk National Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Keokuk Humane Society. The Vigen Memorial Home in Keokuk is in charge of arrangements.
