The daughter of Herman and Floy (Kerby) Spurgeon, she was born November 24, 1919 southeast of Moulton, Iowa. On February 10, 1942, she was married to Frank Gingerich. Read More	LaVelle (Spurgeon) Gingerich of Lancaster, Missouri passed away on Monday, August 14, 2000 at the Boone County Hospital in Columbia, Missouri. The daughter of Herman and Floy (Kerby) Spurgeon, she was born November 24, 1919 southeast of Moulton, Iowa. On February 10, 1942, she was married to Frank Gingerich. To this union, three daughters were born: Mrs. Manley (Mary Alice) Smyser of Glenwood, Missouri, Mrs. Patrick (Floy Ann) White of Keswick, Iowa and Mrs. Steve (Barbara Jean) Williams of Sunny Hills, Florida. Surviving are her three daughters; one step daughter, Mrs. David (Jane) Hopkins of Lake Ozarks, Missouri; 10 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; 2 great, great grandsons; 1 great, great granddaughter and a host of relatives and cherished friends. She is preceded in death by her parents and husband. LaVelle and her husband lived in Lancaster , Missouri where they owned and operated a new and used car business. She was employed at Hollister Incorporated at Kirksville, Missouri for 17 years. After retiring, she worked part time for Norman's Funeral Home and Lancaster Café. She was also the secretary for the Arni Memorial Cemetery and secretary for the Lancaster Christian Church. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, August 17, 2000 at 10:00 a.m. at the Lancaster Christian Church. Officiating the services will be former minister of that church, Brent Fleshman and will be assisted by Rob Green, present pastor of that church. Music will be provided by organist, Maureen Watkins and soloist, Beth Gravett. Special selections will be "These Hands of Mine" and "In The Garden". Pallbearers will be Bill Simbro, Douglas Shepherd, Payton Murl Smyser, Jesse Snedigar, Marc Dabney and Johnnie Buckallew. Honorary bearers will be Robert Watkins, John Robert Dodson, Payton Smyser, Denny Brummer and Dick Blomgren. Interment will be in the Arni Memorial Cemetery in Lancaster, Missouri. Visitation will be held at the Norman Funeral Home in Lancaster, Missouri on Wednesday, August 16, 2000 between the hours of 7-9:00 p.m. A memorial has been established for the Arni Memorial Cemetery in Lancaster, Missouri.
