Irvin died November 20, 2001 at the Griffin Nursing Center at the age of 71 years. Irvin grew up in the Columbia Melcher-Dallas area and on September 16, 1950 he married Deloris E. Milburn. Irvin died November 20, 2001 at the Griffin Nursing Center at the age of 71 years. Irvin grew up in the Columbia Melcher-Dallas area and on September 16, 1950 he married Deloris E. Milburn. They were blessed with 6 children: Toni, Terry, Rick, Becky, Ron, and Mike. Irvin worked at John Deere in Ankeny and retired from there in 1987. He also farmed and continued to do so after retiring from John Deere. He was a member of the UAW of America Local 450. Irvin and Deloris both enjoyed bowling and belonged to the ABC Bowling Association. He was preceded in death by his parents Evert and Olive. Irvin is survived by his wife Deloris of Melcher-Dallas, daughter Toni and husband Jim Johnston of Milo; son Terry and wife Sherri of Columbia; son Rick and wife Jennifer of Knoxville; daughter Becky Kirfman and Joe Vrban of Melcher-Dallas; son Ron and wife Kathy of Swan; and son Mike and wife Joni of Melcher-Dallas; 17 grandchildren, and 2 great grandchildren. Also surviving are sisters: Barb Kelsheimer and husband Roger, and Betty Waters and husband Jim of Melcher-Dallas; and a brother Marvin and wife Fonda of Ankeny.
