On September 22, 1887, he was united in marriage to Miss Mary Loucinda McGrady. To this union were born nine children, of which six are living, three having died in infancy. His entire life was spent in Virginia until November 1, 1917, when he brought his family to Iowa where he made this home until the time of his death. On September 22, 1887, he was united in marriage to Miss Mary Loucinda McGrady. To this union were born nine children, of which six are living, three having died in infancy. His entire life was spent in Virginia until November 1, 1917, when he brought his family to Iowa where he made this home until the time of his death. Those left to mourn his death are his wife and children: Mrs. Booker Walton of Ladora, Iowa; Mrs. L. E. Quillen of Rugby, VA., Mrs. Guy Shine, Pearl, John and Effie Walton, all of Victor, Iowa, and other relatives, besides a host of friends. Mr. Walton was a kind, loving husband and father, and was well liked by all who knew him. He will be well remembered by his many friends in Virginia and by all who knew him in Iowa. Mr. Walton had been in poor health for a number of years and, during the past month, became gradually worse and passed away Sunday morning, April 14, 1918, at the age of 53 years, 7 months and 16 days. He was a regular attendant of the Methodist church, when his health permitted, and a few hours before his death made the expression that times were going to be better for him.
