Description	:	Isaac Fenton Boyer, was born 10 March 1833 in Pennsylvania. In the 1850 U.S. Census her resided at West Earl, Lancaster, PA. At age 30, on 1 July 1863, he resided at Frederick, PA and enlisted in the Union Army in the U.S. Civil War. According to his pension file, he was a Bugler with (Company) K 11. Illinois Cavalry. The date of organization of this regiment was 20 Dec 1861; Muster date was 30 Sept 1865. The first of the group were trained at Camp Lyon, Peoria, Illinois beginning about 1 Nov 1861. They fought 18 battles, beginning on 6 April 1862 at Shiloh, TN. The total numbers for the war were 2 officers killed or mortally wounded; 8 officers died of disease or accident; 32 enlisted were killed or mortally wounded; and 237 enlisted men died of disease or accident. Other names of interest in this Regiment were Jonathan J. Boyer and Asa Booton. Pension requests were filed Dec 28 1875, 20 May 1886 from the state of "Dakota", and 27 January 1891 from the state of Iowa. Lucy A. Boyer is listed as his widow; James C. Boyer is listed as a minor. At age 31, Isaac Fenton Boyer was united in marriage on 28 March 1864 in Knox County, Illinois to Lucy Ann England. Lucy was born in April 1842 in Ohio, the daughter of Luther J. England and Susan Wilson. To this union, four children were born that reached adulthood: Warren England Boyer, born 1865; Mary Ella Boyer, born 1867; James C. Boyer, born 1868; and Prudanse Viola Boyer, born 1878. The three older children were born in Knox County, Illinois, and Prudanse was born at Mt Ayr, Ringgold County, Iowa. In 1880, the family was living in Hamlin, Audubon County, Iowa where Isaac and Warren worked helping area farmers, Lucy kept house, Mary and James attended school, and Prudence was an infant. Isaac Fenton Boyer died 22 April 1882 in Exira, Audubon County, Iowa 22 April 1882, aged 49 years, 1 month, 12 days. After Isaac's death, Lucy and the children went to visit her parents in District 47, Hand, Dakota Territory. Isaac's widow Lucy Ann England married a second time to Samuel A. Johnston on 31 December 1888 in Audubon, Audubon County, Iowa. In 1895, they resided on a farm in Greeley Township, Audubon county, Iowa. - - - Children: Warren England 1865 Mary Ella 1867 James Clarence 1868 Prudanse Viola 1878∼Audubon County Death Records.
