Description	:	Isaac Carleton Howard, one of eight children, was born to Isaac Newton and Emma Sarah Furr Howard, in Butler, Mo. He died after a short illness Nov.1 in the Lancaster Manor, Lincoln, at the age of 80 years, 6 months and 10 days. "Ike," as he was known to many, moved from Butler to the Havelock area of Lincoln where he attended the Havelock School. Later he moved to Washington state with his family where they lived for several years. After moving back to Nebraska he worked in the Bennet area for a while. He then moved to-Superior where he was employed by the Coca-Cola Bottling Company for several years. He had also been employed by Slusher Furniture Store as a carpet layer and had worked for a construction company building houses. Superior had been his home for the past 40 years. He was an avid bowler,having participated in many tournaments, helping several teams win trophies. Howard also roller skated and spent many hours at the skating rink. He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Marcus and Spencer Howard; and a nephew, Francis War- neking. Survivors are a brother,Herschel, San Rafael, Calif.; four sisters, Mrs. Tony Christensen (Ruby) of Bennet, Neb., Mrs. Sid Knightall (Imogene) and Doris Wester of Everett, Wash., and Mary Warneking, a resident of the Good Samaritan Center, Superior: nieces and nephews; and many other relatives. Graveside services were Saturday at 2 p.m., from Evergreen Cemetery. Pastor Ken Fairbrother officiated. Burial was in Evergreen Cemetery. The Megrue-Price Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
