Description	:	Isaac Macy was born in Indiana, April 2, 1885 and passed away, Jan. 4, 1927, being 71 years, 9 months and two days old. Early in life, he moved with his parents to Iowa, where he grew to manhood. In 1874 he was married to Stella Bufkin. One daughter, Effie, was born to them. His wife passed away three years later. Six years ago last October he... Read More	Isaac Macy was born in Indiana, April 2, 1885 and passed away, Jan. 4, 1927, being 71 years, 9 months and two days old. Early in life, he moved with his parents to Iowa, where he grew to manhood. In 1874 he was married to Stella Bufkin. One daughter, Effie, was born to them. His wife passed away three years later. The daughter, also, after she had grown to womanhood. Later, he was married to May Isabelle Butterfield. To this union seven children were born, two children and his wife preceded him in death. Six years ago last October he was again united in marriage to Mrs. Zona Bennett of Creighton and has since resided on the farm northeast of Creighton. Those surviving are his wife, four sons, Calvin of Gazo, Iowa; Albert and Melvin of Stickney, S.D.; Earl of Chamberlain, S.D. and one daughter, Mrs. Beulah Perkins of Yakima, Wash.; also nine grandchildren and one brother. Isaac Macy was a birth right member of the Friends church and remained a loyal member of that church during his life. Very early in life he felt the call of God to preach the gospel. When he reached sixteen years old, he began to preach and was recorded a minister of the gospel, when he was eighteen. Twenty five years ago, he moved with his family from Iowa to Knox county, Nebraska and became pastor of the Friends church at Kemma. Later, he served other meetings in Nebraska and South Dakota. He was highly respected by old and young as a friend and neighbor. To the church at Kemma, which he served three different times as pastor and where for the last six years, he has labored so faithfully, his loss is most keenly felt. His prayers, his faith, words of counsel, encouragement and sympathy have been a strength and help to all, who have been associated with him in Christian service. He was always in his place and the interest of the church was uppermost in his thoughts. When for a short time, he was unable to attend church, his interest was not lessened. To some who visited him a few days before his death, he talked of the future of the church and often spoke of his hope in Christ and said that whenever the change came to him he did not fear. The funeral services were conducted Thursday afternoon at the home of Mrs. Clive Phillips, pastor of the Kemma church.
