Description	:	Isaac was the son of Johan Neifert and Maria Magdalena Petri. He married Amanda Rebecca Frey. At his father's death in 1825, Isaac's uncle Jacob Petry was appointed his guardian. Growing to maturity, Isaac had his farm about one-half mile from Kempton, PA, by the Berks County Railroad. He was a carpet weaver. Isaac moved most of his family to Marion County, Iowa, in 1861.
