Neifert was born in Berks county, PA., Feb. 23, 1842; died at her home in Indiana township, Oct. 15, 1914, aged 72 years, 7 months and 22 days. She was united in marriage to D.B. Neifert, Jan. 28, 1862, who survives her. To this union were born eight children, seven sons and one daughter. Neifert was born in Berks county, PA., Feb. 23, 1842; died at her home in Indiana township, Oct. 15, 1914, aged 72 years, 7 months and 22 days. She was united in marriage to D.B. Neifert, Jan. 28, 1862, who survives her. To this union were born eight children, seven sons and one daughter. One son died in infancy; one son (Jacob) died in July, 1905; the surviving ones are emma, wife of James Frazier, of Moberly, Mo.; Henry, of Everett, Wash.; Charles, of near Bussey; Frank, John and Fred, all of near Attica. All of the children (with the exception of Henry) were with her during her last illness. Besides the husband and children she leaves twenty-seven grandchildren, two great-grandchildren; one brother, two sisters and a host of relatives and friends. At the age of 15 years she united with the Lutheran church, and was a true Christian at the time of her death. It has been said that there is nothing better, or greater, than a true and noble woman. She was all this and more. She was a faithful wife, a loving mother, and her place in the home is a vacancy that can never be filled. Of her nothing can be said other than that she was a good woman. During her brief illness she was a patient sufferer, and bore her pain with a murmur. Funeral services were held at the M. P. church in Attica, on Sunday, Oct. 18, at 11 a.m., conducted by Rev. Howry, assisted by Rev. Tague. Interment at Gullion cemetery. Knoxville Journal, October 21, 1914
