Description	:	Isabel Marie "Izzy" Phelps, 89, of Waverly, died Sunday, Dec. 28, at Waverly Health Center of natural causes. She was born May 1, 1919, in rural Waverly, daughter of Henry William and Louise Barbara Woerner Schwab. On Dec. 23, 1939, she married Ray William Phelps at St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Waverly. Mrs. Phelps graduated from Waverly High School in 1937, then worked as a bookkeeper for B&B Co-op before going to work as a country school teacher north of Waverly for three years. She was born May 1, 1919, in rural Waverly, daughter of Henry William and Louise Barbara Woerner Schwab. On Dec. 23, 1939, she married Ray William Phelps at St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Waverly. Survived by: her husband; three daughters, Myrna (Ed) Parsons of Rochester, Minn., and Joan (Bob) Hill and Suzie (Bruce) Kramer, both of Waverly; seven grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by: a sister, Esther. Services: 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at St. Paul's Lutheran Church, with burial in Harlington Cemetery, both in Waverly. Public visitation from 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday at Kaiser-Corson Funeral Home, Waverly, and for an hour before services Wednesday at the church.
