Description	:	FUNERAL OF MRS. ISABELLA SEABROOK The funeral of Mrs. Isabella Seabrook was held at her home, the second day of August 1941. Isabella Brown was born in Parkinson 21st day of December 1885 being the eldest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Brown. She became the bride of Joseph Oliver Seabrook May 20th, 1907. Her husband predeceased her January 23, 1935. She moved to the farm in Thessalon Township and lived there until May 4th when she left for the Toronto General Hospital for medical treatment. She passed away in the Toronto General Hospital the 31st... Read More	FUNERAL OF MRS. ISABELLA SEABROOK The funeral of Mrs. Isabella Seabrook was held at her home, the second day of August 1941. Isabella Brown was born in Parkinson 21st day of December 1885 being the eldest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Brown. She became the bride of Joseph Oliver Seabrook May 20th, 1907. Her husband predeceased her January 23, 1935. She moved to the farm in Thessalon Township and lived there until May 4th when she left for the Toronto General Hospital for medical treatment. She passed away in the Toronto General Hospital the 31st day of July. She leaves to mourn her loss, five daughters and one son: Mrs. Robert McCreight, Thessalon; Mrs. Leonard Boyd, Owen Sound, Ont.; Henry at home; Mrs. Isaac Hernden, Thessalon; Mrs. Sam Mortimore, Thessalon; Mrs. Elmer Johnstone, Sault Ste Marie. Eighteen grandchildren. Besides her daughters and son she is survived by four brothers and three sisters. Harvey and Dave Brown, Parkinson; Wilfred, of Sudbury; John, of Bruce Mines; Mrs. Wm. McAulay, Kynoch; Miss Ella Brown, Thessalon; Mrs. Stuart Lessar, of Dean Lake. One brother predeceased her in 1915. The funeral was largely attended by relatives and friends and neighbours. Rev. Mr. Rickard and Rev. C.F. Cope gave very comforting words to the bereaved ones. The remains were laid to rest in Maple Ridge Cemetery. The pallbearers were her nephews, Harvey, Mervyn and Carl Brown; Ray and Jack Seabrook and Raymond McAulay. Beautiful floral tributes were given by her daughters and sons-in-law and son, a pillow of Roses; Sprays, Livingstone Creek United Church; Mr. and Mrs. Wilbert Seabrook and family; Royal Women's Institute; Mr. and Mrs. Clifford Whitfield; Mr. and Mrs. Anthony Seabrook; Mr. And Mrs. Howard Whitfield; Mr. And Mrs. Robert Minion, Mrs. Broughton and Fred. Also letter of sympathy from Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Martin. Those coming from a distance were, Mrs. Martha Seabrook, Mrs. Leonard Boyd and two daughters Owen Sound; Mr. and Mrs. Dave Brown and Harvey, Mervyn and Carl Brown, Mrs. Harvey Brown, Mr. William McAulay, Mr. and Mrs. Robert Dunn Sr., and Mr and Mrs. Walter Berry, Parkinson; Mrs. Stuart Lessor, Dean Lake. --- Card of Thanks --- We wish to express our gratitude to kind friends and neighbours for their help during the illness and subsequent death of our Mother, Mrs. Oliver Seabrook.-- Son, Daughters and Sons-in-law
