Description	:	Obituary: Isabella Hutchinson was born in Helaugh, Yorkshire County, England, June 11, 1842. She departed this life May 11, 1915. She came to America with her parents in June 1845. Read More	Obituary: Isabella Hutchinson was born in Helaugh, Yorkshire County, England, June 11, 1842. She departed this life May 11, 1915. She came to America with her parents in June 1845. She was united in marriage to John Eastwood, March 23, 1863. To this union eight children were born. One son died in infancy. The others are well known in this county. Of these Mrs. Anna Manley, J. Alfred, J. Elmer, Frank W., Mae and Howard, reside in the Mission Creek community, and were at their mother's side when the end came. The other daughter, Mrs. Hal Pease of Vallery, Colrado, had been summoned, but could not reach home in time. Mr. Eastwood, one of the early settlers of the county and a well known citizen, was called to his eternal home in the fall of 1910. Mrs. Eastwood leaves to mourn her death seven children, twenty-four grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, one sister, Mrs. Sarah Calvert of Dubuque, IA; five brothers, Ralph Fawcett of Warren, IL., Wm. Fawcett of Leadmine, Wis., George and James Fawcett of Benton, Wis., and Tom Fawcett of Elglin, Neb., and a host of friends who had known her for years and had come to love her. Such is the brief chronicle of the life of Mrs. Isabella Eastwood, familiarly and lovingly known as Grandma Eastwood. But a few words like these do not by any means express what she meant to those who knew her best, or the community where for thirty-seven years she made her home. With her quiet, kindly winsome manner she found her way into the affections of a whole country-side. She was so willing to help in the time of trouble, so interested in everything that looked to the welfare of anyone near her, so thoughtful of their good even to the sacrifice of herself. Fifty-seven years ago she professed her faith in Christ as her Savior, and these years have given abuandant evidence of the fact that she lived very close to Him, and was trying ti serve Him to the best of her ability in the home and the Mission Creek church, of which she was a member. And she lived, a mother whom her children loved most dearly, and whose memory they now treasure; a woman whom everyone loved and respected and a Christian with a humble child-like faith in the Savior in whom she had so long trusted. As the shadows of life lengthened, it was hers to know long days of suffering, but bore this trial uncomplainingly, in quiet submission to the will of God, as a true child of His. And she had lived, ready for the parting when her Lord should call. It was Tuesday evening, May 11, 1915, as the sun was near the setting and the day was nearly done, that He called her and she fell asleep in Jesus. She rests now in hope, for we believe that "She is only taking her rest in sleep, Released from troubled dreams, and pain; But God her precious dust doth keep; We know she shall rise again." A.E.K.
