Catholic Daughters of America, will recite the rosary in a group at 7:15 p.m. Sunday and the Christian Mothers Sodality at 8 p.m. Sunday. Mrs. Stork, a daughter of Mrs. George Poeppe and the late Mr. Poeppe, was born Isabelle Poeppe, Jan. 24, 1904, in Carroll. She attended school in Mt. Carmel and Carroll. She had taught school for 19 years before her marriage which took place Aug. 24, 1943, at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church. The family home is at 108 South Maple Street. Surviving with her husband and son, Gary, are her mother, who lives with the family; three brothers and three sisters: George Poeppe, Webb; Mrs. J.R. (Theresa) Neumayer, Compton, Calif.; Ted Poeppe, Carroll; Mrs. A.J. (Martha) Rettenmaier, Kansas City, Kan.; Albert Poeppe, and Mrs. Erwin (Colette) Stork, Emmetsburg. Mrs. Stork was a member of SS. Peter and Paul’s Church, the Christian Mothers Sodality of the parish and Court St. Rose of Lima No. 6, Catholic Daughters of America. Peter and Paul’s Church here Monday morning for Mrs. Norbert J. Stork, 49, who died Friday morning at St. Margaret’s Hospital in Kansas City, Kan. Solemn requiem high mass was offered by the Rt. Rev. Msgr. Frank Greteman, pastor of the parish, assisted by the Rev. Michael Wendl, Spencer, deacon; the Rev. P.M. Sturm, Mt. Carmel, sub-deacon; and the Rev. Leo Lenz, master of ceremonies. In the sanctuary were the Rev. M. Stork of Arcadia, uncle for Mr. Stork, the Rev. John Hausman of Breda and the Rev. Walter Bruch of Fonda. Fr. Strum and Fr. Wendl officiated at graveside rites in the Mt. Carmel cemetery. Pallbearers, nephews of Mrs. Stork, were Kenneth Poeppe, Dennis and Lyle Stork of Emmetsburg, Edwin and Donald Schettler and Ray Poeppe, Carroll. All of Mrs. Stork’s sisters and brothers were at the rites. From away were: Mrs. J.R. Neumayer, Compton, Calif.; Dr. and Mrs. J. Rettenmaier and daughter, Mrs. John Anderson (Marian) Kansas City; Mr. and Mrs. George N. Poeppe, Webb; Mr. and Mrs. Erwin Stork and family and Mr. and Mrs. Albert J. Poeppe and family, Emmetsburg. Another brother, Ted Poeppe, farms near Carroll. Among other out-of-town relatives present were Mr. and Mrs. John Stamen and daughter, Alma, of Lohrville, and Mr. and Mrs. Charles Hassig, Kansas City, besides many from the surrounding community. Besides her husband, son, Gary, and her brothers and sisters, Mrs. Stork is survived by her mother, Mrs. George Poeppe Sr., who lives with the Stork family.
