Forrest E. Bates of the Pratt Creek Presbyterian church officiating. Burial will be in the family lot in West View cemetery. The body is at the Johannsen Funeral home. Mrs. Ohland succumbed to death in the home of her daughter, Mrs. Homer Crow, 7 1/2 miles southwest of La Porte City at 9:40 a.m. Tuesday. She had been ill since Novemer and bedfast since February 13. As Isabella Melissa Seibel she was born the daughter of George and Amanda Seibel, March 16, 1877 at Princeton, Ill. She moved to Iowa with her parents when she was a young girl. Prior to her marriage to John Ohland in August 1908, she worked in Denver, Colo. Came Here in 1915 Soon after their marriage they farmed near Grinnell, Iowa, and from 1910 to 1915 farmed near Osage. She came to La Porte City in 1915 and had lived here the remainder of her life. She had been a member of the La Porte City Presbyterian church since 1921 and attended its services as long as her health permitted. Surviving her death besides the daughter, Mrs. Crow, are one sons, Grant Ohland of Deadwood, S. Dak.; eight grandchildren, five great-grandchildren and one sister, Mrs. Mary Estella Thompson of Marshalltown. Her husband passed away in 1919 and one son, Bernard in 1937. One sister and two brothers also preceded her in death.
