Description	:	Ishmeal Crouse 1925 (Bridgewater Bulletin) The tolling of the bell on Thursday morning, September 17th, announced the fact that Ishmael Crouse had departed this life at an early hour that morning. Deceased had been laid aside from active work for a few years, but only kept his room for seven weeks, during which time he was tenderly cared for by his daughter-in-law, Mrs. George Crouse. Mr. Crouse lived nearly all of his 71 years of his life at this place, and proved himself a good husband, father, and neighbour. His wife, who was Miss Rosina Wile, predeceased him eight years... Deceased had been laid aside from active work for a few years, but only kept his room for seven weeks, during which time he was tenderly cared for by his daughter-in-law, Mrs. George Crouse. Mr. Crouse lived nearly all of his 71 years of his life at this place, and proved himself a good husband, father, and neighbour. His wife, who was Miss Rosina Wile, predeceased him eight years ago. He leaves a son, James, of North Brookfield; William of Bestel, Ontario; Locke and Austin of New Hampshire; and George, at home; also one daughter, Mrs. Haines of New Canada and a large number of grandchildren and great grandchildren survive. Rev. Gartung, assisted by Rev. Hooker conducted the services at the home, church, and grave, taking as his text "I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith." The text was a good illustration of his life. He fought life's battles bravely, he finished his course with joy, often expressing a wish to depart and be at rest, and he kept the faith until the end and we sincerely hope he has received the crown of glory which is laid up for those who love the Lord. The floral offerings were beautiful, testifying of the esteem in which the deceased was held. With thanks to Rosemary Rafuse.
