Iva was born April 11, 1919 to Paul and Esther Williamson Connaway in the Mt. Pleasant Community of Union County. She was a 1937 graduate of Short High School and was the Valedictorian of her class. Read More	Iva Clark April 11, 1919 - February 10, 2011 Iva Connaway Clark, 91, of Liberty, died Thursday, February 10, 2011 at Forrest Park Health Campus in Richmond. Iva was born April 11, 1919 to Paul and Esther Williamson Connaway in the Mt. Pleasant Community of Union County. She was a 1937 graduate of Short High School and was the Valedictorian of her class. From 1941 until 1974 she was employed by the U.S. Department of Agriculture ASC office. She was a member of the Mt. Pleasant Community Church. Iva married Erville Max Clark on August 9, 1957 and they lived on the Elsie Mitchell farm north of Liberty until 1967 when they purchased a farm near Economy. They spent the winter months in their mobile home in Seminole, Florida. In February 1984 Max died suddenly of a heart attack; Iva continued to live in Florida in the winter and on her farm in the summer until she sold it in 2006. She moved to Forest Park Health Campus in 2007. Survivors include a sister: Dorothy Connaway Barnard of Liberty; four nieces and nephews: Marilyn Jackson of Camden, Ohio; Linda Rosenberger of Liberty; Michael Barnard of Fairfield, Ohio; and Jack Barnard of Miamisburg, Ohio; many cousins and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and sister: Eleanor Napier. Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. Monday, February 14, 2011 at Showalter Blackwell Long Funeral Home, Fosdick Chapel, Liberty with Pastor David Fields of Mt. Pleasant Community Church officiating. Interment will follow in Union Cemetery Garden of Memories in Fayette County. Friends may visit at the funeral home Monday from 12:00 p.m. until the time of the service where memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
