Description	:	Funeral services for Iva (Rohrer) Wedige were Monday, August 29, 1994 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Ludger Catholic Church in Creighton. Reverend Jerome Spenner officiated with burial in the parish cemetery. Iva Violet Hart was born February 14, 1898 to William and Elizabeth (Beardsley) Hart at Afton, Iowa. She died Thursday, August 25, 1994 at Lundberg Memorial Hospital of cancer at the age of ninety six years. At a young age, she moved with her parents to a farm near Winnetoon, where she grew up. Reverend Jerome Spenner officiated with burial in the parish cemetery. Iva Violet Hart was born February 14, 1898 to William and Elizabeth (Beardsley) Hart at Afton, Iowa. She died Thursday, August 25, 1994 at Lundberg Memorial Hospital of cancer at the age of ninety six years. At a young age, she moved with her parents to a farm near Winnetoon, where she grew up. She married Henry Rohrer at Verdigre on March 16, 1914. Two children were born to this union, John and Irene. They moved to O'Neill and later to Denver, CO, where she worked in the Remington Arms Plant during WWII. In 1948 she moved back to O'Neill, where she was employed by the M&M Bakery and her husband owned Henry's Shoe Repair Shop. He died on July 7, 1966. She married Ernest Wedige in 1972 and they lived on a ranch west of Emmet. Ernest died in September 1979 and Iva returned to O'Neill in 1982. Survivors include a son, John Rohrer and daughter, Irene Clyde of O'Neill; eight grandchildren, four step grandchildren, 22 great grandchildren and 17 great great grandchildren; a sister, Alice Kindall of Creighton and many nieces, nephews and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, husbands, four sisters, two brothers and one grandson. ...The Creighton News 31 Aug 1994 Her last name at death was Wedige, but she is buried beside her first husband under his name, Rohrer.
