Bill Hunter officiating. Mr. Lux was born Feb. 2, 1915, to Ivan and Sadie (Hogg) Lux near Shelton. He moved with his family to a farm near Valentine. Memorial services were held Monday at United Methodist Church in Minden with the Rev. Bill Hunter officiating. Mr. Lux was born Feb. 2, 1915, to Ivan and Sadie (Hogg) Lux near Shelton. He moved with his family to a farm near Valentine. He was raised near Valentine and graduated from high school there. He graduated from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. He then moved to the Hay Springs area where he ranched and taught high school. On Dec. 30, 1950, he married Alma Gormley in Denver. Thye moved to Minden in 1953 where he worked for Holdrege Seed and Farm Supply. In 1965 he bought Grayson Tool Co. in Minden and managed it until retiring in 1985. He was a member of Midwest Tool Collectors, Missouri Valley Wrench Collectors, American Cribbage Congress and Minden Rotary Club International. Survivors are his wife; two sons, Eugene of Fredericksburg, Texas, and Al of Minden; two daughters, Eunice Brauer of Aurora, Colo., and Laura Glasco of Scottsbluff; one brother, Ken of Valentine; two sisters, Rachel Peterson of Hay Springs and Martha Cody of California; eight grandchildren; and one great-grandchild. He was preceded in death by three sisters and three brothers.
