On May 25, 1942 she was united in marriage to Ernest Matejka. In her early years she worked as a telephone operator from 1935-1949 in Wyoming. She and her husband owned the school buses, where she drove the East Ridge Bus from 1949-1960. She is survived by two nieces Sandra Etter of Texas, Marcia Eichhorn of Indiana, and one great-nephew Brian Etter. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, one brother, and one sister.
