Description	:	J. ANDREW KOOL J. Andrew Kool, 75, died Nov. 13 at the Mahaska Hospital in Oskaloosa. He was born on July 5, 1898, on the farm of his parents, Antonie F. and Annie Ten Hagen Kool in Marion County near Pella. His parents later moved to the Galesburg and Peoria areas. He attended rural schools in both places and remained on the farm after his father died in 1919, assisting his mother and family with the farm work. His mother died in 1939 and afterward he and his brother John farmed together on the Kool brothers farm until the time of... Read More	J. ANDREW KOOL J. Andrew Kool, 75, died Nov. 13 at the Mahaska Hospital in Oskaloosa. He was born on July 5, 1898, on the farm of his parents, Antonie F. and Annie Ten Hagen Kool in Marion County near Pella. His parents later moved to the Galesburg and Peoria areas. He attended rural schools in both places and remained on the farm after his father died in 1919, assisting his mother and family with the farm work. His mother died in 1939 and afterward he and his brother John farmed together on the Kool brothers farm until the time of his death, living on the west edge of Peoria for the past 64 years He is survived by his brother John; another brother - Fred Kool, Oskaloosa; a sister - Mrs. Peter (Minnie) Langstraat, New Sharon; and many nieces, nephews and cousins. Funeral services were Nov 15 in the chapel of the Van Dyk-Duven Funeral Home with Rev. John S. Terlouw officiating. Casket bearers were Marion P. Swank, Harold Ozinga, William H. Vernooy, James Bandstra, Jacob Vander Molen and Gerrit Slykhuis Interment was in Black Oak Township Cemetery and arrangements were made by the Van Dyk- Duven Funeral home in Pella.
