A native of Lockhart, he was the husband of Shirley Potter Shrader and son of the late William Paul Shrader and Mary Jane Childers Shrader. Read More	LOCKHART - J.C. Shrader, 66, of 103 N. 4th St. died Sept. 17, 2001, after a sudden illness. A native of Lockhart, he was the husband of Shirley Potter Shrader and son of the late William Paul Shrader and Mary Jane Childers Shrader. He attended Lockhart Church of God, was retired from Milliken Company-Monarch Plant and was a veteran of the Air Force. Surviving in addition to his wife are two daughters, Debbie Snipes of Greenville and Pam Jennings of Lockhart; two sons, Michael Eugene Shrader and Johnny Ray Shrader of Pocono Beach, Fla.; a sister, Martha S. Canupp of Sharon; two brothers, Franklin and James Shrader, both of Lockhart; 10 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by two brothers, Earl Shrader and Paul Shrader Jr. The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 tonight at S.R. Holcombe Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday at the funeral home chapel, conducted by the Revs. Eugene Hanock and Gonzale Childers. Burial will be in Lockhart Cemetery. Shrader October 28, 1934-September 17, 2001 Papa was a very good man, He was always there to lend a helping hand. He was a good husband, a good daddy, and a good grandfather. He was so busy taking care of everyone else, that he didn't want to be a bother. If you ask him for something, he always gave it to you, He loved us all and that is true. God has taken our Papa from us and now he is gone, If you see a bright shining star, It's Papa and you shouldn't feel alone. I know God has his reason and we shouldn't ask why? Though sometimes those reasons, sometimes makes us cry. Now Papa is in a better place, Can you just imagine the big smile on his face? Now that Papa is in Heaven, we know that is where he'll stay. He's walking with the angels and he wouldn't have it any other way. Papa will always have a special place in our hearts, One day we will all be together again, and will no longer be apart. Papa we will never forget all the things you have done and you'll always be loved. We know you're an angel now and you will always be watching us from up above.
