Description	:	John "Jack" B. Stingley was born December 16, 1865 in White county, Indiana and died December 3, 1914 at the home of his brother, Elmer Stingley at Creighton, aged 48 years, 11 months and 17 days. On October 22, 1913 he was married to Miss Josephine Schneider of Creighton. To this union one son was born. Besides his wife and son, he leaves two brothers, Frank and Elmer, both of Creighton and three sisters, Mrs. T.J. McColley of Verdel; Mrs. J.F. Frick of Havelock and Mrs. D.A. On October 22, 1913 he was married to Miss Josephine Schneider of Creighton. To this union one son was born. Besides his wife and son, he leaves two brothers, Frank and Elmer, both of Creighton and three sisters, Mrs. T.J. McColley of Verdel; Mrs. J.F. Frick of Havelock and Mrs. D.A. Lacey of Osmond to mourn his death. He was taken sick about a year ago and spent five months of that time in a sanitarium at Lincoln, but all that medical aid and loving hands could do was of no avail. He patiently bore his suffering until death came to relieve him. He was a member of the IOOF and Eagle Lodges, the members of whom cared for him carefully and kindly until the last. Funeral services were held from the home of his brother, Elmer Stingley, Friday afternoon, Rev. C.L. Gibbons of the Baptist church, officiating. The IOOF and Eagles met the procession at the depot and led the way to the cemetery, where they held the services. He was ever kind and generous.
