Description	:	Jack Dean Muntz was born August 9, 1927 in Bonaparte, Iowa to Byron and Clara (Boll) Muntz. At the age of 18, Jack joined the United States Navy. He had few other jobs but for most of his adult life he was a truck driver, he continued to drive truck up until the time of his illness. His second loves were NASCAR Racing and fishing with family and friends. Jack is survived by his wife, Delia (Dee) Muntz of Sunnyside, WA. Daughters Dianne Castor (Warren), Dana Townsend of Spokane, WA. Darla Van Corbach (James) of Sunnyside, WA and Danette Muntz of Yakima, WA. Son Bryan Muntz (Charla) of Albany, Oregon. Grandchildren, Donnie Stevens (Theresa) and children Austin, Kaitlyn; Jeremy Stevens (Leah) and daughter, Ivy; Jenifer Brown (Jason) and children Emily and Gracie all of Spokane, WA. Josh Castor (Liz) and son, Justyn of Missoula, Montana; Clint McIntosh and Jacquelyn McIntosh of Spokane, WA; Brandon Townsend of Spokane; Heather Van Corbach and Tara Van Corbach of Sunnyside; Christopher Paulsen of Yakima; Michele Melhman of Pullman; Cade Muntz and Jace Muntz of Albany Oregon. He is also survived by one brother, Gene Muntz of Des Moines, Iowa. Viewing and visitation will be held on Friday, December 19, 2008 from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. at the Smith Funeral Home, Sunnyside. Funeral service will be held on Saturday, December 20, 2008 at 11:00 a.m. at the Smith Funeral Home, Sunnyside. Burial will be in the Lower Valley Memorial Gardens under the direction of the Smith Funeral Home.
